Terms of Service

Terms

Last updated: October 2026. SilentKit is operated as a sole proprietorship.

1. The service

SilentKit provides hosted file tools — metadata stripping, QR generation, PDF operations, and screenshot composition — as described on this site. You upload files through our tools; we process them and return the result. Uploads are deleted automatically (see the Privacy Policy); the service keeps no library of your files.

2. Accounts

Processing requires an Astraea account (Google sign-in via the login hub). You are responsible for all use under your account. Keep your login secure and tell us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to process unlawful or harmful content, to abuse, overload, or circumvent the service or its quotas, to remove watermarks or captions from free-tier output, or to process content you have no right to process. We may refuse files, throttle, or suspend accounts, without notice, to protect the service.

4. Free and Pro output

Free-tier output carries a visible SilentKit attribution (a caption on photos, a caption strip on QR codes) applied server-side. Pro subscriptions remove the attribution. Circumventing, cropping out at scale through automation, or stripping the attribution to resell free output as Pro output violates these terms; ordinary personal use (including cropping a photo for layout) does not.

5. Quotas

Plans include a monthly quota of processed files (Free: 25; Pro: 1,000). Each processed file counts toward the quota. Requests past the quota are rejected until the quota resets on the first day of next month (UTC).

6. Billing

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions in USD. Paddle is our merchant of record: it processes your payment and handles sales tax/VAT and invoicing. Failed payments may lead to suspension until the account is current.

7. Termination

You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. We may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, non-payment, or breach of these terms.

8. Availability and disclaimer

The service is provided on a best-effort basis, without a service-level agreement and without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Keep your own copies: we do not store your files and cannot recover them.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
